On Saturday, 6 April 2024, a very special event took place at our farm – the exchange of seeds and seedlings. Here, gardeners exchange plant seeds and seedlings to increase diversity in their gardens. At the event, the visitors also shared their experiences and knowledge. They brought seedlings of peppers, tomatoes, lettuce, leeks, raspberries, and much more. The visitors mostly brought their own domestic, established varieties, so the names of the seedlings were not emphasized. This is one of the main ‘benefits’ of such an exchange; it facilitates the preservation of old, traditional plant varieties, the variety of varieties in our gardens and, ultimately, the acquisition of new plants without financial costs.
