On the last Sunday of October, the doors of our Prekmurje Model Farm were wide open!

We were happy to host an Open house event, because we wanted to show the visitors, what we managed to accomplish this year on the farm. We saw an exceptional reaction to the event! Our farm’s yard quickly filled up with visitors and after a short cultural program, the visitors happily took a walking tour of all the agricultural machinery, the aquaponic greenhouse, the sample plantation of asparagus and berries, remodeled space of the ex-barn… And most of all, they were happy to see the farm animals. Our curious donkeys, horses and pigs came up to the fence and patiently waited for small treats.

The event was accompanied by a musical surprise from Hungary, which kept the atmosphere up until late in the afternoon. Local housewives took care of culinary delights and prepared yummy pastries, local braided bread “perec”, fresh deep-fried flat bread “langos” and chestnuts. The winegrowers provided fine wine.
