Thursday, 16 November 2023, was a special day for our dislocated unit in Motvarjevci. In the courtyard of Alvarium ethnographic house, which features an orchard and a beekeeping educational path, we have successfully installed an apiary containing twelve hives. For the beehive to blend in as much as possible with the surroundings and, ultimately, with the contents of the Alvarium ethnographic house, we decided to carry out a beehive painting workshop. To carry out this workshop, we asked the art department of the bilingual elementary school Prosenjakovci and the painter, artist A. Klaudija for help. The selection of motifs for the painting was carefully chosen on the basis of research on the origin of the ethnographic house and its impact on the environment. The students of the art club were very excited about the task and under the guidance of the expert, they did a very successful job.
