On 3 August 2023, employees of the model farm in Prekmurje drove to Salföld in Hungary. The little village with a population of approximately 50 people has a special attraction – Salföldi major. It is a unique model farm which can help us, the employees in the project, as an example of good practice. The farm is located on the northern side of the Balaton lake. We noticed exclusively indigenous Hungarian animals; horses, Hungarian Grey, pigs, donkeys, goats, but also several indigenous dog breeds. The tourist model farm benefited from the insight into the architecture and how to best use the premises in the facility, how to arrange external locations for animals etc. The farm has been active since 1997 and can provide valuable advice based on their experience. The tourist-model farm has a rich animation offer for all age groups.

The trip to Salföld was very useful to us who work on the project. We were able to experience their daily routine, acquire a lot of information, and combine business with pleasure.
