The Prekmurje model farm mostly owns grassland. Next to the farm, we have a large meadow where we cut the grass in August, dried it and baled the hay. We produced 40 round bales of dry hay. Haymaking on our meadow was crucial as we decided to donate the crops to the farms who suffered damage in this year’s floods. Every single employee of the model farm strived for this exceptional gesture and added their share. Together, we organized everything (haymaking, baling, searching for information, finding the transport etc.).

This means that on Wednesday, 6 September 2023, a large truck drove to our yard. The driver managed to load almost all 40 round bales on the truck and he happily drove off to Prevalje. We hope that our donation helped the farmers at least a little bit. We should help when others are in distress!
