Prekmurje Model Farm is a place where nature, animals, and people intertwine through the preservation of cultural heritage and the activation of local agricultural potential. We are located in the settlement of Banuta, on the edge of the Prekmurje plain, in close proximity to the Dolgovaške and Lendava Hills, as well as the Hungarian and Croatian borders.
Surrounded by meadows and an open landscape, we are revitalizing a farm where nature, animals, and the heritage of the area come together. Special attention is given to pasture-based farming and traditional breeds, so you can encounter grey cattle, Krškopolje pigs, Mangalica pigs, and horses here. The farm is a place of peace, learning, and an authentic experience of nature. An important part of our daily work is also the production of healthy, organic, and locally grown food. On our fields, we grow blueberries, asparagus, and other vegetables, while strawberries are cultivated in our greenhouse. All our work is based on respect for natural cycles and the knowledge that has developed in this region over generations.

This is an interesting, continuous cycle that combines vegetable production and fish farming, it is a combination of hydroponics and aquaculture. The waste produced by the fish feeds the plants, while the plants purify the water for the fish.
